Changes!

The last year and a half has been a journey that I never imagined myself taking. I’ve worked harder than I ever thought I could, and my faith has grown tremendously. I found this quote on Wise Owl Factory’s blog, and had to share it, because it describes where I’m at perfectly.

I have big dreams, and I know that I will get there one day, but one of those dreams has come true a lot sooner than I ever imagined. I LOVE working with other teachers. most people say that they love to teach because they really enjoy children, now don’t get me wrong, little ones are awesome, but my passion is working with teachers. I love to collaborate, I live for attending professional development seminars, and creating resources for other teacher to use is just about one of my favorite things in the entire world.  It is my dream to be able to roll all of these passions into one wonderful job, and I get to start this today.  I still get to work my “real job” at school, but I’ll be doing that part time, so I get to spend my afternoons creating, writing, collaborating, researching, you know, all the fun stuff!

I’ve been preparing for this for a couple of months, and it all came together really well. I’m using my craft studio as my office (another dream realized!) and I thought it would only be right to show you some photos of my awesome space. My husband converted an old garden shed into a craft studio for me 5 years ago. To create an office space the only thing that I had to do was find a new desk, which meant that I had to make a trip to Ikea (darn!).  My husband is awesome, seriously, and he hooked up internet for me, so I’m all set.

This space has always been one of my favorite places to be, so I am so happy that I get to work here!

I’m ridiculously excited to have this opportunity, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have any worries. I always have worries! I am determined to make my dreams a reality, wish me luck, you’ll be seeing a lot more of me, and my new products, from now on!
