    Beach Vacation Must-Haves

Whew! Have you ever felt like you needed to recover from your vacation?! We took a beach trip a couple of weeks ago and getting back to “normal” after coming home has been ROUGH. I don’t know if it was all the sun, being off of our daily schedule, or overstimulation, but we weren’t good for much of anything last week. It also gave me a little time to reflect, and I always appreciate time to consider what I’d do the same and different on another similar trip. I packed a lot of the same things that we took for our cruise, and I’ve learned that being on a cruise…

    Airplane Books for Preschool

Airplane week is in full swing, but let me tell you, choosing books for this week was a bit of a challenge. Books about airplanes can easily get way too technical for young children, and sometimes they are a little too history-heavy for little ones who don’t have an understanding of the concept of past and present. Here are the books that we chose (all links are affiliates). Planes – National Geographic Kids I Want to be a Pilot – Peter J Eyewitness Flight – DK Books We Are Going on an Airplane – Mavis Camellia Ask a Pilot – Justin Kelley

    Airplane Activities for Preschool

Mondays have been tough around here – these summer weekends are busy and we’re feeling it by Monday! I hope that you’ll forgive me for not always getting a Monday post up throughout the summer, I’m really leaning into Mom life and sometimes that just doesn’t leave the time. That doesn’t mean that I’m totally leaving you hanging though! I’ve got so much to share. We’re prepping for a vacation, and it’s a big one because it’ll be my daughter’s first airplane experience. This felt like the perfect time to dig in and explore airplanes. It’s relevant for my family at the moment, but it can be an excellent theme…

    Birthday Activities for Preschool

It’s a big week for us, my daughter’s birthday is this week! We decided to make this the theme for this week because you only get a birthday once a year, we might as well make the most of it. Here are some of the activities that we’ve leaning into in order to explore birthdays and build an understanding of all the different ways that these can be celebrated. Looking at photos from previous birthdays – This would be an excellent activity to do with the whole class. Encouraging children to bring in photos from last year’s celebration, or going back even farther to see images of them as babies…

    Summer Camp Supplies

A couple of my favorite kids are going to summer camp for the first time in a few weeks and let me tell you, I am so jealous! I loved camp as a kid, and I’ve been eyeing all of the amazing supplies that I would definitely take with me this time around. I’ve put together some cute little care packages to send along with them, and I thought I would share some of the best finds that I stumbled across while putting these together.
