How I’m Using My Happy Planner
I’m a paper planner girl. I’ve tried digital options (you can even find some of my posts about them if you search), but there’s something about being able to look at the full spread, write tasks in by hand, and really turn the pages that just works for me. I’ve always had what I consider a photographic memory, and for some reason that just works better when I can visualize words written on a page – not a tablet or screen. This year I went with a big Happy Planner (affiliate link) and I couldn’t be happier – no pun intended. The price is truly unmatched. All of the other…

President’s Day for Preschoolers
The best thing about February being such a short month is just how fast it flies by – we’re already well into it and President’s day is next week! Since so many schools are closed for President’s day it has a way of sneaking up on me, and this year with Valentine’s day being the Friday before, I really think it can be best to observe President’s day in the classroom after the actual holiday. Here are all of the resources that I have available to help you explore what this day means with your preschoolers. These can all be found in my TPT store. Click the images below to…

Snow Day Ideas and Traditions
We got hit with a nasty ice storm this week, which led to our third snow day of the year (the first two were for an extreme cold snap). Since I work from home, snow days mean that my daughter is home with me. I thought I’d share some of our favorite ways to spend a snow day – but before we get to that, If you’re in a program where you end up getting more children on a snow day, here’s a post that might be helpful! Now to the fun stuff! I’m a huge fan of leaning into the absolute relaxation of a snow day. Sometimes a surprise…

Valentine’s Post Office Dramatic Play
Monday I showed a cute little Valentine’s Day mailbox using my phone number and address free printable. Since you’ve got that adorable idea, I thought I’d also give some insight into what I love to add to my dramatic play center to create a Valentine’s post office. All links are affiliates! Any good post office needs stationary – and lots of options! Little ones really love to dress the part, it makes them feel much more “official.” My genius tip for post office play is to visit the flat rate shipping center at your local post office and grab a few different boxes and envelopes. These are free (until you…

Printable Valentine Mini Mailboxes
It’s officially February! It feels like getting through January is really something to celebrate, so let’s get down to business and dive into Valentine’s Day. This is an easy little activity that uses one of my FREE printables and is absolutely perfect for leaving each other little messages. My favorite Valentine’s dramatic play center is a post office, heavy on the hearts and pink and red colored decor. Decorating and adding these little mailboxes makes it fun for children to deliver mail for each other. I used my phone number and address freebie for the printable mailbox template. This template is editable, so you can also add children’s real addresses…
