Have you heard of Teachers Pay Teachers? Do you use it? I cannot believe the number of amazing resources I’ve downloaded from TPT over the years – the freebies are awesome, and every product that I’ve bought has been completely worth the money I’ve spent (saving me the time and effort of having to make it myself).
There are some incredibly talented teachers out there and we can all benefit from their great resources. It can be a bit overwhelming to sift through all of the products that come up as a result of a search, so I wanted to share a couple of TPT tools you can use to filter your searches and find exactly what you’re searching for.
It is always helpful to filter by grade level, but it is important to remember that preschool children are often at many different ability levels, so always use your best judgement regarding your knowledge of children’s abilities when selecting materials on TPT – what works for one class does not always work for another!
You can also filter by subject, which is helpful when you are looking for something to fill a specific domain on your lesson plan.
If you are looking for a free download you can filter your search by price, or if you have a specific amount from your budget to spend on materials, you can use the price filter to help you stay within your budget.
Finally, you can filter by the type of resource you are looking for; do you need a workbook? Flash cards? Full unit plans? You can select the type of resource you need, and those will show up in the search.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time on TPT and I’ve put together a list of my favorite stores – I tend to check these stores for new finds before I do a general search because I already know that I love their products. Here are my favorite preschool sellers;
Even though I’m not in the classroom anymore, I still use
Teachers Pay Teachers regularly. I love to find ideas and activities to share with other teachers, and I’m constantly drooling over planners, labels, and general fun stuff that I can use to decorate my office. Spend some time exploring TPT, I can guarantee you’ll find something you can’t live without!
