April Currently
It’s April (and it’s snowing here, but we won’t go there…) here’s what I’ve been up to lately:
Listening: I’m working at Starbucks right now and listening to their playlist – I’m not a fan. I have a pretty wide range of taste when it comes to music, but it doesn’t include jazz. However, I refuse to bring my headphones when I work away from home because I am terrified that I will start singing along and make a complete fool of myself! So for now, Starbucks jazz it is.
Loving: Right around the middle of March I refuse to wear a coat if at all possible – the calendar says it’s spring, no more winter coats for me! Mother Nature doesn’t seem to care what the calendar says, because it’s about 30 degrees and snowing right now, so sweatshirts have become my all time favorite thing.
Thinking: Today is my last day of vacation after being off for over a week – the last thing I want to think about is work, and of course, it’s the only thing I can think about. This week is going to be rough, and isn’t that the way it goes? You always come back to the worst week possible, so much for easing into it!
Wanting: Forget spring, let’s just move right into summer! We’re putting in a patio this summer, and all I can think about is sitting out under the umbrella all night long. I’m dreaming of warm weather and pinning cute patio decor like it’s my job!
Motivation: I have a ton of work to get done – my Classroom Decoration sets are all getting a face lift – and I need to sit down and just do it already, but it’s one of those big jobs that I just keep putting off because it seems so overwhelming.
Whatever: I just got back from vacation, a trip that I’ve been looking forward to since we started planning it at Christmas time. I’m a daydreamer – I need something to look ahead to that I can dream about until it finally happens. I enjoy the planning and anticipation as much as the actual event. So now I’m in need of something to look forward to. My patio project might have to suffice for now, although I’m also considering a new computer, just as soon as I can save the money.
Make sure to stop over at Oh Boy It’s Farley to see what other teacher bloggers are up too, and thanks for letting me share!
