Office Space Must Haves

I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been redecorating my workspace a bit. There are a few items that I have to have when I’m setting up a workspace that I need to be super comfortable and productive. Here are my go-to items. All links are afifliates.
A great chair – If you’re going to spend a lot of time sitting in it, a chair should be both functional and comfortable. This one definitely fits the bill, and it’s pretty too!
A blanket – I’m one of those people who is always cold, so a blanket is a must. Whether it’s the middle of winter, or the air conditioning in the summer, I will be using that blanket year round. A blanket is also the easiest way to add a pop of color and express yourself a bit. My all-time favorites are fleece blankets from Vera Bradley.
Wall art – I’m big on being able to look at the smiling faces of my favorite people. Photos are a must have in my workspace for sure. When I’m having a tough day, being able to look at those photos and put myself in those memories for just a bit is absolutely everything. I love this set of collage frames because there are soo many different sizes all in one set. I also like to add my favorite quotes and pieces of art to really create the vibes that get me through the day.
Charging Station – How many things can we possibly plug in?! Seriously, something always needs charged. Having all of the cords and an organized place to manage all of them just makes life easier.
Coasters – I’m a millennial, which means that I have a drink with me at all times. A coaster is a necessity, and I prefer this set because it absorbs some of that condensation so I’m not dripping all over my paperwork, or worse – my tech.
A wax warmer – I’m big on smells. The good ones are amazing and any others are super offensive and give me a headache. One way that I can control this is to make sure I have access to all the smells that I absolutely enjoy. I also love the glow that comes from a great wax warmer.
Cute containers – I love to use drinking glasses to organize all of my pens and markers. They look so classy and fun at the same time. These are the perfect way to keep the supplies I grab for all the time right at my fingertips, while my drawers are free for things I don’t necessarily want out on my desk.
Baskets – Somehow, I always end up accumulating a ton of stuff. I have no idea where it all comes from! These baskets are the perfect size for sitting on a bookshelf and to hide the random things that end up in my workspace.
Fake plants – I can’t keep a plant alive, but I love to have them in my space so fake plants it is. This pretty flower arrangement would definitely make me smile every time that I saw it.
A clock – I hate checking my phone for the time, especially when I’m in the groove and really working. This is seriously the cutest desk clock ever – and it has the date too. That’s what I call a win!
