Infant Gift Guide 2015
The holiday shopping season is officially in full swing, and I’ve already begun to get requests for what to buy the littlest members of the family, so I figured it must be time, time for my annual holiday gift guides! Today is all about the infants, here are some of my favorite finds and gifts to give all those babies on my list; (Amazon links are affiliates)
B. Sounds So Squeezy Toy B. Toys is one of my all time favorite brands, they are who I turn to first when choosing gifts for any kid on my list. This one is perfect for any infant – lots of different textures and things to look at, and the clip is easy for baby to hold onto and can be a teether too.
Chewbeads Mulberry Teether I’ve already bought these teething rings for two of the littles on my shopping list. The beads are the perfect combination of squishy and stiff, and they come in fun colors that babies are sure to love.
Nojsig doll Ikea is home to my favorite soft toys. I love their stuffed animals, and these dolls are perfect for older infants. They are small enough that they are easy for little hands to handle, but still soft enough to cuddle with, and perfect for imaginative play. Plus, they don’t take up a ton of space, so mom and dad will love you for giving a gift that they can take with them to the store or the restaurant to keep baby busy.
Skip Hop Soft Activity Book This soft activity book from Skip Hop is not your average soft book. I love the animal shaped pages, and it open accordion style, so baby can lay it across his lap and see all of the pages. Each pages features different textures, flaps, and additional shapes and buttons.
Eat: A board book about mealtime (Happy Healthy Baby) There are 6 books in the Happy Healthy Baby set, and they are all beautiful. The photos and soft colors in these board books will make baby want to read them over and over. each one has a different subject, all of which introduce new vocabulary words and are related to baby’s daily life.
pipSquigz These are so much fun! pipSquigz are made of soft plastic that makes them perfect for teething, but they are also perfect for discovery. Each one has different ridges and textures, and each has their own rattle noise. They can also be used together, baby can suction them to each other and pull them apart – making a great POP! They can be used for every day play, or in the bath, making them an all purpose toy.
Black & White Animal Puzzle Set These puzzle are not just adorable, they are also perfect for exploring patterns and shapes. The animal bodies have their own distinct shapes, which children can match to complete the puzzles. These are easy enough for older infants to complete successfully, and pretty enough to leave out in the living room!
Donald Crews Board Books (Set of 4) Donald Crews’ books are classics, and now you can add them to your board book collection. These are perfect for any baby who is fascinated by transportation.
Easy Grip 3D Farm Puzzle I must be drawn to puzzles this year, but I can’t resist this one (there’s also a pond version). The animals serve as the handles for the puzzle pieces, making this possibly the most fun puzzle I’ve ever seen. Baby can play with the animals, or do the puzzle, or play with the animals as they do the puzzle.
I hope that these suggestions will give you some ideas for the infants on your gift list! I will be adding toddler and preschool gift guides later this week, so be sure to stop back and check them out if you’ve got more kiddos to shop for! If you still need a few more ideas, check out last year’s Infant Toddler Gift Guide.
