Infant Gift Guide 2017

It’s my favorite week of the year – the week that I get to share my annual gift guides with all of you! I love putting these together because I am always being asked what makes a great gift for a little one, being a teacher brings a unique perspective.  I love to share my favorite items, and the ones that I’ve seen young children love – and use – over and over again.  Here’s what I recommend for infants, in fact, my daughter is getting a lot of these items this year! **All links are affiliates**

Sassy Look Photo Book – This photo album was specifically designed for little hands. The pages are soft and easy to turn, and the plastic sleeves will keep photos safe so babies can enjoy them. Load this with photos of family members so they can enjoy it as soon as it is opened.

Soft Dolls – I’ve shared a different soft doll every year, and this one is my current favorite because it is honestly a beautiful doll. I am so impressed by the style and the quality, it is sure to be a favorite for many years to come.

Coffee Cup Teether – I laughed out loud the first time that I saw this in the store, and then I promptly bought one.  It is designed to look like the child is drinking out of the cup when they are chewing on the rubbery ring around the top.  Any coffee loving parent will be just as charmed by this toy as their little one is.

O-Balls – These little balls are super popular for a reason. They are one of those magical toys that are fun no matter what age your little one is.  Even the youngest baby can hold onto the balls easily, making them a wonderful first toy. They also don’t really hurt when you get hit with them, which is a huge plus!

Aden & Anais Burpy Bibs – These are definitely in the running for my favorite baby product of all time.  They are the best burp rags because they are huge, and super absorbent,  PLUS they have a little snap closure so they can be worn as a bib. When they’re worn like a bib they fit more like a cape, so they keep the drool and mess off of nice clothes.

Bunny Ear Teething Rings – When it comes to toys, it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of simple, wooden items.  These teething rings have quickly become one of my favorite baby gifts.  Little ones love them, and they are small enough to take anywhere with you. The ears make a little crinkling sound the wood is soft, without being splintery.

Jellycat Bunnies – I have become slightly obsessed with Jellycat stuffed animals.  They are literally the softest stuffed animals ever and they are absolutely adorable.  They come in a huge variety of animals – everything from dinosaurs, to foxes, to cows – but the classic bunnies are my favorite. They also come in three different sizes at three different price points, so they are the perfect gift for any occasion.

I Love You Stinky Face Board Book – It’s my all time favorite book in a board book version, what more can I say?! This sweet story is just repetitive enough to keep baby’s attention, and parents will love the message that comes off more funny than sappy.

Infantino Textured Ball Set – This ball set is a great gift for a baby of any age. Tiny babies will enjoy watching the colors as you hold each ball in front of them. Once baby can hold things on their own these are perfect for explore the beginning of two-hand coordination skills, and older babies will happily roll (or throw) these across the room.  This sweet little set offers a ton of exploration at an amazing price!

Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups – let me just say that I hate traditional stacking cups, but I LOVE these! They can be used in so many different ways – stack them, nest them, match them to make different sized balls. When you’re done playing, they all fit together into one ball, so you aren’t searching for that missing piece the next time you want to use them. These are easily as much fun for adults as they are for little ones.

I hope that this list has given you some great gift ideas, if you’re still searching for that perfect present make sure to check out my infant gifts guides from previous years – these are all still wonderful gifts too!
