My Summer Goals

It’s so easy to look at summer as a never-ending length of time (don’t I wish!), and make way too many plans and goals. This year I’m trying to keep things realistic – but I also have projects that I really want to complete! Here’s what’s on my list for the summer:

  • Being present and fun. I tend to get a little wrapped up in planning what’s next and miss out on what’s right in front of me. I want to really enjoy time with my girl, playing, laughing, and taking advantage of opportunities.
  • Redecorate my work space. The last time I revamped my work space I went for a neutral, gray look. It’s clean and streamlined, but it’s also really boring. I’ve found that I don’t look forward to spending time there, and I want to make it a little more fun. I’m planning on incorporating things that make me happy, and lots of colors that I love!
  • Cross stitch. I’ve got three larger patterns that I really want to finish because I have plans to use them in my decorating. Stitching is not something that you can rush, it takes the time it take, so I want to carve out time to get these done.
  • Spend time outside. I thrive on sunshine, so I really want to prioritize being outside, even if that just means sitting on the patio while I stitch. I’d also really like to spend time outside in the evenings, so I’ll be investing in some serious citronella candles!
