Fun Stuff for a New Year Celebration
I know that New Year’s Eve has come and gone, but I love to welcome the children back to school after the holidays with a small New Year celebration. It’s hard to come back to school after a break, especially since the last week of school before we left was all about celebrating the holidays. Coming back to the regular routine can be a little boring. This is my way of helping make that transition a little more fun. Here are some of the things that I’ve come up with over the years to put out for the first week to ensure that we have something new to explore while…

I always share my wishlist with you for these big sales, so here it i – this is what I’ll be buying: I can’t wait to use these Winter Photo Booth Props from Old Market at our holiday party! Ahh! I’m absolutely in love with these weather movement cards from Lisa Markle Sparkles in Preschool, the cards are adorable and this would be such a fun way to explore weather concepts. It’s not a wishlist without something from Play to Learn…

Friday Freebie – Planning Pages
Happy Friday! This week flew by, and I’m not complaining about that but I would definitely love for summer to slow down just a little! Of course, this next freebie is sure to get you in back-to-school planning mode, so I suggest downloading these free Preschool Teacher Planning pages, storing them somewhere safe, and walking away from the computer before they suck you in. Enjoy your summer weekend and come back to them another day, like maybe when it’s raining!

Friday Freebie – Post-It To Do Lists
Happy Friday! We’ve almost made it to another long weekend, just one more week – and since I know that next week will feel extra long, I’m especially excited to enjoy this weekend. Did that sentence make any sense? I usually try to make sure that my Friday Freebie goes with whatever topics I’ve written about all week, usually. This week’s freebie has nothing to do with playgrounds, so if you want to check out those posts be my guest, after you download this super cute freebie! The list-maker in me could not resist sharing this editable To Do List for Post-It notes from Brooke Brown. I think I’m in…

Yep, you read that title right, Teachers Pay Teachers is having a sale in honor of Teacher Appreciation day. This means that right now is the time to pick up what you need for the end of the school year, and start thinking forward to next too. My tradition on the blog is to share what’s on my wishlist before every sale – so you can see what I’m excited about purchasing and just maybe add a couple of things to your own wishlist too. Today is extra special because I’m linking up with Teaching in the Tongass to share wishlists from tons of different teacher bloggers! Here’s what I’m…

Treat yourself!
I just got back from vacation – and I’m sure many of you are in the same boat – after time off it’s doubly hard to go back to work and get into the groove. A while ago I stumbled across a tip that has worked wonders for lifting my spirits, and I wanted to share it as we dive into the rest of the school year. This tip is all about treating yourself – recognizing (and doing) those little things that brighten your day. Oh, and best of all, I made a little freebie to go with it! It’s very simple, but it makes a huge difference. Just take…
