Quicker Lesson Planning
I’m a firm believer in planning. I know for a fact that having a great plan laid out and fully prepped makes a massive difference in my week. At the same time, getting everything planned and ready takes so much valuable time. It can be really easy to sacrifice a calm, chill week in order to get back a few minutes right now. As we head into September, a month that seems to be the poster child for re-focusing on routines and schedules, I thought I’d give you some resources that will help make your planning super fast and easy. This way you’ll get the time now AND be fully prepped for whatever might happen in the week ahead.
First, make sure that your lesson plan works for you! Find one of the free templates included in my Preschool Lesson Plan Templates that makes sense for your needs. You can read more about how I use these in this post.
Use this list of 36 Autumn Themes for the Classroom to organize the next couple of months – and save yourself a little brainpower! While you’re exploring some seasonal ideas you can plan out corresponding sensory experiences with the help of this free list of Seasonal Sensory Ideas.
Keep track of all of the thoughts and ideas that are constantly running through your head in my Project Work Planner. This resources was designed to keep lesson plans, reflections, notes, ideas, and questions all in one place – which makes them easy to find and use as you continue planning throughout the year!
Of course the ultimate time-savers are my Monthly Preschool Plans. These include ready-to-go lesson plans – including art, sensory, and dramatic play ideas – plus all of the printable materials that you’ll need for the entire month. You can see all of the months here (or purchase the entire year as one great big set). I’ll be back on Wednesday with a list of everything included in the September set.
