Last-Minute Non-Candy Halloween Treats
I’ve got to say, I’m still a huge fan of giving out candy for Halloween – mostly because my kid doesn’t need anymore little junk laying around (iykyk). Another bonus, the pumpkins on the cardigan are just pumpkins, not jack-o-lanterns, so you could definitely use it for Thanksgiving too. All links are affiliates. Pumpkin Fine Motor Activity
If you’re stuck in a bit of a fine motor rut, this activity will shake things up a bit. These cute yarn pumpkins are super easy to make, meaning every child can feel successful with this craft. To make this fall fine motor project you’ll need 3 simple supplies; cardboard tubes, yarn, and felt. Start by cutting your cardboard tubes down to the height you want your pumpkins to be. I was able to get two tall pumpkins by cutting a toilet paper tube in half. You’ll wrap each cardboard tube piece with yarn, passing the yarn through the middle of the tube and around the outside. It helps to…

Preschool Pumpkin Art
Is it really October if you don’t decorate a pumpkin? I have very specific rules about decorating pumpkins with young children – mainly NO PAINT and NO GLUE. I firmly believe that nothing that has to dry should ever be used on a pumpkin, because there is some kind of weird science that occurs and these things NEVER dry. When it comes to decorating pumpkins in the classroom – or really at any event with children – these are the supplies I turn to. All links are affiliates. Pipe Cleaners – if you poke a hole in the pumpkin with a thumbtack or nail you can stick the pipe cleaner…
