• Finding Motivation

Motivation is not a constant thing – it comes and goes, and usually not when we want it to! I often find myself lacking the motivation to really dive into a project. When this happens, the most helpful thing is to ask myself why. Why am I resisting whatever needs to be done? At the beginning of the school year my answer is almost always that I’m burnt out from the summer! Summer is the time where I give myself to my family fully, so I often need a little “me time” once everyone is back into a more normal school mode. I’ve learned not to fight this, I give…

    Teacher Gifts 2025

I’m so excited about how this year’s teacher gifts turned out! Even the gift wrap is adorable – if I may say so myself. I scooped up this apple fabric when our local JoAnn Fabrics was clearing out all of it’s stock. I knew that it could make me many years worth of teacher gifts, or something cute for my daughter’s traditional first day of school apple outfit. The zip pouches are quilted and have a red picnic-blanket patterned lining. It all comes together – quite literally – with a red zipper. To wrap them up I grabbed some plain white gift bags at the Dollar Tree. With a ruler…

Hatch Rest+ – This has made a huge difference in how we wake up in the morning. We originally bought it to help my daughter stay in bed a little longer as a toddler. Being able to add pages anywhere means that…

Reading a list like this can make it seem like I’ve got it all together – but things definitely still fall…
