Friday Freebie – Christmas Cookie Counting
Happy Friday! I must have Christmas cookies on the brain, last week I shared a freebie and activities from the holiday cookie party I threw for my kiddos last year. This week I have a counting activity that you can add to your Christmas cookie theme. With this Christmas Cookie Counting freebie children count the correct number of cookies onto the plate. There are two sets of plates, one with dots that correspond to the number to help children count correctly, and one set without the dots to challenge counters with higher level skills. The freebie includes numbers 1-5, if you want more practice, I’ve included the numbers 1-10 in…

Preschool Cranberry Exploration
Cranberries are amazing little fruits that can provide hours of exploration for preschoolers simply because they float. These seasonally popular berries are perfect for exploring concepts like buoyancy in an authentic way. This sink or float experiment is also the perfect way to introduce a week of cranberry-inspired activities because it is sure to pique the kiddos’ interest and keep them engaged. I like to introduce the cranberries during circle time or large group time, this gives me the opportunity to start a discussion and begin a list of what the children already know about cranberries. Some students may be familiar with cranberry juice, or dried cranberries, but for…

Friday Freebie – Planner Pages
Happy Friday! I usually try to make sure that the freebie I share with you on Friday is either related to the other posts I’ve written that week or seasonal. So I have to apologize because today’s freebie is neither of those things. I know it’s the wrong time of year for a new teacher planner, but I saw these free pages, and they were too cute not to share. Plus, they’re gold, which is apparently my weakness at the moment, although I suppose it’s better that I fell in love with gold planner freebie pages and not a piece of gold jewelry… Download your planner freebie pages from Student…
