I am all about the staycation! It’s perfect for spring break because it doesn’t always fall at the best time to travel, and really who wants to travel with everyone else in the world. Putting yourself first
It’s hard to make yourself a priority! As teachers, most of us are naturally giving. We see our role as supporting others, so the idea of saying no to someone else in order to take care of ourselves feels icky – but it doesn’t have to! I’ve truly been able to change my own perspective by remembering what we’re told in any airplane safety speech; You have to put your own oxygen mask on before you can help someone else with theirs.
