Classroom Halloween Party Prep

It’s Monday, and Halloween is on Friday this year, so it’s class party crunch time! Here’s my timeline for the week before a class party, hopefully it’ll help you pull together you’re own to-do list for this week.

Monday

  • Send reminders to parents who signed up to donate items for the party. Ask to have all items by Wednesday.
  • Double-check outfit for party day to make sure you have everything and it’s all clean.

Tuesday

  • Prep any activities for party day – make all the copies and gather supplies.

Wednesday

  • Inventory donations for party that have come in and follow up on items that are missing.
  • Write and send home letter about the party, include details such as rules about costumes, planned activities, whether parents are able to participate, and times for events.

Thursday

  • Do any decorating (check out my printable Halloween decoration set!)
  • Pick up any last minute supplies
  • Review activity plans
  • Lay out outfit
  • Pack up any items that you need to bring in the day of the party

Friday

  • Don’t stress! Party days should be fun, if things don’t go as planned it’s ok. Roll with it and try to enjoy the children’s energy and excitement.
