• Chill Spring Break Ideas

    Low-key Spring Break Plans

I’ve never been one to make major spring break plans – I don’t love to travel at peak times – so I tend to lean more towards staycations or really leaning into relaxation. Here are my favorite ways to spend a very low-key, chill spring break. I firmly believe these kinds of breaks should leave you feeling refreshed and ready to get back to work or school. When you’re traveling, you don’t always return home relaxed! Making a conscious decision to chill really changes both the vibes of your spring break, and helps you feel like you’ve actually made the most of that opportunity.

    Spring Break Style

The sun has finally started shining again, and that always signals my brain for warm weather clothes. I’m desperate to wear all things coastal. Here’s what’s currently in my cart for spring break 2025! Straw tote – I had a bag like this as a teen and I’m kicking myself for getting rid of it. I could not be happier that this look is coming back and I absolutely will have one of these again for the summer. Round Sunglasses – Is it possible to have too many sunglasses? I don’t think so. These are classic and trendy at the same time and I love the color. Pearl Huggie Hoops…

    Easter Art Projects

Here’s a collection of the art projects that we’ve been working on for Easter. The classics are classics for a reason, and the woven placemats were especially a hit! We used a mixture of shaving cream and white glue to paint these soft bunnies. For the bows we added a little food coloring. We also mixed some shaving cream and food coloring, then dipped paper egg cutouts to create swirled patterns on the eggs. Finally, we used the leftover strips from our placemats to make a paper chain. The colors are all super happy and the finished products remind me of my favorite projects from my own childhood. That’s what…

Processing a holiday before moving on to the next one

The month of February might have the fewest days, but it packs in all of the holidays – Groundhog day, Valentine’s day, President’s day, and Mardi Gras. If you look at March and April you’re often adding St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Earth day too. It’s a lot to explore over a fairly short amount of time. We usually think of the time between Halloween and Christmas as the “holiday season,” but October, November, and December don’t have nearly as many holidays squeezed into them as the spring months do! This can make late winter and early spring pass pretty quickly, but it can also be really overwhelming, especially for…
