Summer Update!
We’ve officially been following my summer plans for a month (you can read more about those here), so it felt like time for an update. This is the first summer that I’m home with my daughter everyday, and having structure and materials in place was really important to me. So far it’s been super helpful! We keep things really flexible, and won’t always get to everything on our list – but I think that’s the difference between summer and the school year. Summer in the classroom
There are so many different kinds of summer child care and preschool program situations – so it’s impossible to generalize one “right” way to do summer in the classroom. March Clipart and Planner Stickers
We all need a hobby right?! I used to be a scrapbooker back in the day, but that got hard to keep up with – and who prints photos anymore? Now I use my planner as a pseudo-scrapbook, and I’m obsessed with planner stickers. Making this clipart each month is an extension of that for me and I love that I can share it with all of you. The holidays have been a whirlwind this year – we started our break a little early after getting the flu, and once we recovered it was full steam ahead for the last week of the year. Preparing for Snow Days
Now that my daughter is in elementary school snow days have a totally different meaning! Last week her school had 2 (TWO!) fog days in a row after an already scheduled two-hour delay day. I’m not complaining about the fog days, I fully support the school in keeping children safe, I am however realizing that I need to be a little more prepared in order to keep her busy, and myself sane, on these days!
