  • Preschool Resource Review – Young Investigators

I know that back to school season is in full swing, but I thought I’d do something a little different this year.  Instead of sharing tips, tricks, and classroom ideas (because I’ve shared plenty of those already) I thought that I would share some of my favorite resource books.  Everyday this week I’ll do a review of a different book that I have read, loved, and use regularly. These will be books that are part of my own personal resource library and have helped me in some way – whether they’ve made planning easier, changed my teaching philosophy fundamentally, or helped me understand my students better.  I hope that you will take…

Do you still need a quick gift for a teacher in your life? Whether you’re looking for a great idea for a co-worker, or your own child’s teacher, I’ve got you covered. I just made these brand new watercolor note cards, and they’re editable so you can add your favorite teacher’s name in a fun font for an easy personalized gift. Yesterday I shared what’s on my wish list for this sale, today I wanted to share some of the items that I’ve created that have been really helpful in getting me through the end of the school year! My Graduation Bundle not only helps me prepare my kiddos for graduation, but it also includes many of the things that I use for the actual ceremony.  Let me do a little of the work for you, so you can focus on the other details! The Get Ready for Kindergarten workbook is something that I send home with families.  Between end…

  • Printables for St. Patrick’s Day

Can you believe that it’s the middle of March already?! I am completely fine with that, bring on spring! But this also means that St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner – Friday to be exact. St. Patrick’s day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate in the classroom. This is partiall because it means that we’ve turned the corner and spring is almost here – I am all about celebrating everything turning green! I also love this holiday because it’s magical and whimsical and mischievous, and I fully believe that children need the opportunity to enjoy these special days while they are still little. If you haven’t…

  • My favorite teaching products

I’ve done a number of posts on products that I absolutely love and use everyday in the classroom (like this one, this one, and this one) but I love a lot of stuff, so here’s one that’s specifically geared towards back to school! (All links are affiliates) I’m never without a legal pad – meetings, professional development, planning, I always have one with me.  A padfolio like this one is a great way to look professional without taking myself too seriously! Flair pens are my favorite because they make color coding easier and my notes so much more fun to review. I just restocked my collection with a new pack of…
