• December Currently

Where did November go?! Seriously the month flew by, I can’t believe that it’s December already, but I’m certainly not complaining, here’s what I’m up to: Listening: I have been binge-watching The Good Wife, why did I not know about this show earlier?! It keeps me company when I’m working and I’ve been staying up late to sneak in episodes.  I think that I love it because Alicia’s life makes mine feel a lot less stressful! Loving: I put up my Christmas decorations on Black Friday, it’s my little tradition.  I have been loving sitting in the living room and just enjoying the decorations.  They are a great visual reminder…

  • Happy Cyber Monday

It’s become a tradition around here for me to share my TPT wishlist before each sale, today’s the big sale day so here’s what’s on my list.  After you’ve seen what I’m buying make sure to head on over to Teachers Pay Teachers and pick up some great stuff for your classroom (don’t forget to add code TPTCYBER) I love everything that Cherry Workshop creates, which makes it incredibly difficult to pick just one item from this store, so I didn’t.  My favorite winter/Christmas products from Cherry Workshop are;  Patterned Christmas Ornaments: These would be perfect for matching, classifying, patterning, and sorting activities. Christmas Borders and Frames: I can’t tell you…

  • Friday Freebie – Black Friday DOUBLE Freebie!

Happy Black Friday! Thanksgiving is over and it is officially the Christmas season (in case you didn’t know!).  I’m putting up my Christmas decorations today so I thought I’d share two cute Christmas Countdown freebies with you – and no worries, one of them include a “Winter Countdown” if you want to (or need to) be politically correct. This Santa Countdown is awesome because it’s interactive.  Each day your students can glue a cotton ball to Santa’s beard until his beard is full and Christmas is here. What a super cute idea from Speech Sprouts! These Countdown Posters couldn’t be easier to use, there are four posters to chose from,…

  • Holiday Gift Guide: Preschoolers

If there is one thing that I’ve become really good at, it’s recommending great gifts for little ones. This is the perfect time of year put my expertise to good use, and share my knowledge with you!  This guide is a list of things that any preschooler on your list (and their parents) will love.  You’ll notice that there are a few brands I’m in love with, these are brands that I know are high quality because I’ve used them in classrooms, and I’ve seen them live through the crazy things that little ones like to do to them. All of the links are Amazon affiliate links, but many of…

If there is one thing that I’ve become really good at, it’s recommending great gifts for little ones. • Favorite Things – Preschool Teacher Edition

It’s almost Thanksgiving, which of course means that it’s time to start thinking about Christmas (didn’t you know that?!).  I love gift guides, I use them all of the time to find the perfect gifts for my friends and family members, but my favorite lists are the “Favorite Things” lists (thank you Oprah), because they help inspire my own Christmas list. This year I put together a list of my favorite things for school – these aren’t necessarily the best supplies for the classroom (but I do have a great Preschool Classroom Supply list), but rather, products that make things a little bit easier for me throughout the day.  These…

  • Friday Freebie – Drawing a Wedding Cake

Happy Friday! Today’s freebie may seem a little random, until I tell you that my little sister is getting married tomorrow and everything happening today and tomorrow is part of that celebration – even my Friday Freebie! My students love to draw, a passion that I share with them, so they are constantly asking me how to draw something – they know that I won’t draw it for them.  This freebie is something that my students would love.  This cake drawing set is from Art with Ms Gram, and it is broken into easily understood steps that even young children could follow.  It is also a great way to introduce…

  • A Peaceful Thanksgiving – Tips for Avoiding Holiday Meltdowns

Thanksgiving is supposed to be time to relax and enjoy family, time to take a few minutes to recognize the blessings in our life.  You aren’t alone if your annual Thanksgiving celebration is anything less than stressful and overwhelming.  There is food that needs prepared, family members to please, extra furniture to set up, grocery shopping to do, not to mention arranging schedules to make sure that you are present at every family celebration.  In all of this, kids often get less to their own devices, and end up making messes that need cleaned up, and arguments that need solved.  By taking a few minutes to prepare simple activities to…
