Friday Freebie – Cleaning Checklist
Happy Friday! I hope that you’ve been able to enjoy some summer weather and summer activities! I usually share freebie for the classroom, but this one was too good to pass up! My posts this week have been all about cleaning at school, but when you can come home to a clean house it can ease a lot of stress! This huge cleaning checklist is from Printable Crush, and it is amazing. If you’re anything like me cleaning will be worth it if you get to cross something off the checklist! Go download your copy and have a wonderful weekend!

Teacher Appreciation Week – Don’t Forget about Yourself!
I’m all for celebrating other teachers (and fully believe that we need to make time to do this more than once a year) but I also know that no one knows you better than you know yourself – So this year, I’m encouraging you to celebrate all of your own hard work! Take a little time to pamper yourself or indulge in a special treat. You certainly deserve it, and let’s be honest, some of my favorite gifts are things that I’ve bought for myself! Whether you feel like making an investment in something you really want, or you’re looking to be a little more frugal, here are some of…

Teacher Inspiration
It’s definitely that time of year when I feel myself needing a little extra inspiration. The weather is so nice, my weekends are so busy, and I just want to do fun summer things – even though it’s not quite summer yet. If you’re feeling the same way, here are some quotes to help you get through the rest of the spring! Optimist Quote Follow their lead Quote Be who you needed Quote Funny teaching Quote Silly Quote

Procrastination
I know that I usually write about preschool – some kind of activity, or assessment, or curriculum, or something at least slightly related to teaching so this one is a little bit of a stretch, but let’s get real for a minute. It’s usually pretty easy for me to sit down and write a blog post. I enjoy it, and I love the topics that I write about – but this week I can’t seem to get out anything that I want to share. I had a bunch of posts about seeds planned, but I must not be very excited about them. This is probably because I’m a terrible gardener,…

Personal Goals
I know that I posted last week about my one word resolution, which is prepare, but that was pretty much a general thought for both my personal and professional life. I wanted to take some time and share some of my more specific goals for this year. I refuse to call them resolutions, because I think that term brings to mind something that is a little too big and probably unrealistic. These are goals, things that I know can be done, and in most cases they will help me feel less stressed and less rushed! Make sure that I’m ready for the next day before I go to bed –…

Preschool Teacher Humor
Halloween – I love it and I hate it, and I think teachers everywhere are with me. Here’s a little list I put together for those of you who are preparing yourself to celebrate this particular holiday in the classroom. I hope you enjoy a little laugh and know that you are not alone!

Fall Fashion for Teachers
I’m not a fashion blogger by any means, but I enjoy sharing these posts every now and then. Autumn is weird in Ohio, for example most of this week it was in the 80’s and then yesterday it was 65 degrees. It’s hard enough to dress professionally when I know that there is a good chance I’m going to leave work with a new marker or food coloring stain on my clothes, throw in crazy temperature fluctuations and I really just want to stay in my pajamas! There are a few things articles of clothing that I have been turning to regularly over the last few weeks – these are…

Sanity Savers
This time of year is stressful, so I wanted to take a minute to share a tip that has saved my sanity time after time. It’s really simple, I keep a list on my phone of all of the things that I love to do when I need some “me time.” Things are all things that help me unwind and relax a little. I pull out the list on tough days and pick one of those activities to help myself unwind. The key to this particular list is that I’m very specific about including activities that help me unwind that my budget can handle. I also make sure to include…

What’s in my desk
When I got the job that I have right now and realized that I would have a desk for the first time in my working life I was excited to fill it up with stuff! I read tons of blog posts about great things to keep in your desk, some of which were helpful, and some of which were a little weird. Since I’ve been using many of these items regularly for the last year I thought I would share what I’ve love having at my fingertips. One of the first things that I did was to find an organizer that would fit really well in my desk drawer. I…

My favorite teaching products
I’ve done a number of posts on products that I absolutely love and use everyday in the classroom (like this one, this one, and this one) but I love a lot of stuff, so here’s one that’s specifically geared towards back to school! (All links are affiliates) I’m never without a legal pad – meetings, professional development, planning, I always have one with me. A padfolio like this one is a great way to look professional without taking myself too seriously! Flair pens are my favorite because they make color coding easier and my notes so much more fun to review. I just restocked my collection with a new pack of…
