    Infant Gift Guide 2022

Gift guides are my favorite posts of the year! Working with little ones means that we’re tuned into what they like, want, and need – and that makes us an excellent resource for anyone who is shopping for those little ones this year. Here are some of my favorite choices for infants, they’re so hard to buy for but choosing the best Christmas gifts for the infants in your life can feel like a real win! Just a reminder, these are affiliate links and I do receive a percentage of the sales, BUT I also truly love and support these products. If you’re looking for a gift that will help…

Stress Relief for Teachers During the Holidays

Trying to teach during the holidays can be a little overwhelming – there’s so much to cover, squeeze in, and manage! I’m here with some ideas that’ll provide a little stress relief for teachers during the holiday season. These are some of the strategies that I’ve leaned into in order to make this time of year more joyful, because truly, that’s what it’s all about! 1. Plan ahead! You know that I’m a planner, but taking the time to get all of your plans in place does make life run more smoothly. When I say plan ahead, I do mean think everything through – what do you want to make…

    Helping Children Manage Holiday Stress

The holidays are stressful for everyone – there are so many things to do and remember! Children feel all of this, while also not having the best understanding of why we adults are rushing around and have a little less patience for them. It can be confusing and overwhelming, and it often leads to tantrums and meltdowns as they attempt to process changes to their schedules and routines – which only makes the adults around them even more stressed! The classroom isn’t exempt from all of these feelings and stressors, but there are some ways that teachers can help children manage holiday stress, while still making sure the season is…

Amazing Teacher Gift Ideas for this Holiday Season

I’ve been working on my holiday shopping and the one gift that I always spend the most time selecting is a gift for my daughter’s teachers. After working for so many years as a teacher myself, I fully understand that there are certain things teachers don’t need any more of – they don’t need another coffee mug, teacher ornament, or lotion set. I want to make sure that I’m giving these amazing people something meaningful that really expresses how much our family appreciates them, while also still being something that they’ll actually use! Here are some of the holiday teacher gift ideas that I have in mind for the teachers…

  • Preparing for Snow Days

Now that my daughter is in elementary school snow days have a totally different meaning! Last week her school had 2 (TWO!) fog days in a row after an already scheduled two-hour delay day. I’m not complaining about the fog days, I fully support the school in keeping children safe, I am however realizing that I need to be a little more prepared in order to keep her busy, and myself sane, on these days! Fog days were easy, once the fog lifted we were able to go do things, like visit the library. Snow days in our area are a different beast – I don’t want to…

I’ve got something new to share!

I told you Monday that I’d have an announcement by the end of the week – well, here it is! Now you can go to my TPT store or Etsy shop and purchase one product that contains all of the printables you need for an entire month of preschool. These sets will all be called One Month of Preschool, followed by the month that it’s intended to be used. • Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Whether you’re celebrating today, or recovering after celebrating all weekend, I hope your festivities are the best! I’ll be sharing something MAJOR later this week, so make sure to pop back in after you wake from the candy-coma. I’ve got something up my sleeve that’ll make life so much easier for anyone who teaches preschool – whether it’s at a traditional school, a child care program, or even if you’re homeschooling a preschooler – and I can’t wait to let you in on it!

  • Halloween Movement Ideas

It’s that time of year – Halloween classroom party time! I always loved these days, but I fully understand why some teachers don’t. The kids are already amped up, and then we give them sugar and take away the routine, what are we thinking?! Movement activities can be lifesavers for all of that pent up energy, so I thought I’d gather some excellent ones in one spot to save you a little sanity.  Here are some options that’ll fit your party theme and get those wiggles out! Danny Go is always my daughter’s first pick, this is just one of his Halloween offerings: You can’t go wrong with GoNoodle, and…

  • Something new and fun!

If you’ve read any of my previous posts you probably have an idea of my love for organization – it’s not a secret! One way that I’ve really been leaning into this is through my planner. I’m a hardcore fan of an old-fashioned paper calendar, and mine have become beautiful scrapbooks over the years. To say that I’m obsessed with planner stickers is an understatement.  Over the last few months I’ve been designing my own clipart and using it to create planner stickers. Not only do I get to release some creative energy, but I get the satisfaction of having exactly the kind of stickers that I want to use…
