Easy DIY Valentine Wreaths
There are so many beautiful wreaths out there, but I have such a hard time paying for them. Here are a couple of easy, inexpensive DIY Valentine’s wreaths that would be perfect for gifts or decorations for your home or classroom! These two are the same, but I switched up the yarn around the wire wreath form, so one is pink and the other is red. Wrapping yarn around this frame is the perfect activity for while you’re watching TV – it’s mindless and you can totally zone out. You can also decide how thick you want the yarn to be. I kept these pretty thin, but I did another…

The Year of the Homemade Gift
I shared my word for the year at the beginning of the month, but I haven’t let you in on another intention that I set for 2023. I’ve decided that this will be “the year of the homemade gift.” I’m challenging myself to make things for every gifting occasion this year and I’ve had just as much fun planning what I want to make and give as I know I will putting it all together. January is a big birthday month for our friends and family, so here are a couple of the gifts that I’ve already created and given: A bright, sunshiny quilt for a happy little girl A…

Easy Preschool Valentine Gift
I love to make a nice gift for families on Valentine’s Day – but after the chaos of trying to finish Christmas gifts quick and inexpensive are my main requirements! Here’s an idea that meets those characteristics and is super fun too. Try this easy preschool Valentine gift with your class this year. I started with a thin wooden heart from the Dollar Tree – they come natural and you could definitely leave them that way, but I used a couple of coats of old house paint to paint mine white. I also removed the twine hanger. When these were dry I took some washable Crayola paint (affiliate link) and…

What to buy a Preschooler for Christmas in 2022
Preschool is when gift giving really starts to feel like a challenge – preschoolers have opinions, lots of them, and they aren’t afraid to tell you what they think of your gift! This is also when children’s preferences become really strong, they know what characters and activities they like, they know which sweater is too itchy, and how many of a specific toy they already have. So what do you get a preschooler for Christmas??? Picking out a gift for a preschooler often requires knowing what they like, which is hard because this changes daily. There are some ideas that are universal though! That’s what I have for you today…

Infant Gift Guide 2022
Gift guides are my favorite posts of the year! Working with little ones means that we’re tuned into what they like, want, and need – and that makes us an excellent resource for anyone who is shopping for those little ones this year. Here are some of my favorite choices for infants, they’re so hard to buy for but choosing the best Christmas gifts for the infants in your life can feel like a real win! Just a reminder, these are affiliate links and I do receive a percentage of the sales, BUT I also truly love and support these products. If you’re looking for a gift that will help…

Personalized Puzzles
One of my good friends started her own little tradition. Every time she goes to a child’s first birthday party, she gets them one of these personalized name puzzles from Fat Brain Toys. I absolutely love this idea! Each child receives a gift that is uniquely their own, and I can’t tell you how many children have learned to spell their names because they play with their puzzles so often. The best part is that the buyer types in the child’s name, and then Fat Brain Toys creates it from that custom order – so there is no hunting down a name only to find that it doesn’t come in…

Quick Teacher Appreciation Gifts
For the first time ever I get to share what I put together for my daughter’s teachers. How cute are these?! For the bouquets, my little one did some finger painting and then I cut the paintings into hearts using my Cricut. I attached all of the hearts into the flower shape using glue dots, and then I stuck them on a green straw. The books are copies of the Classroom Recipe Book that I put together when I was teaching toddlers. I was constantly looking u the same recipes on my phone and I was sick of searching for them over and over, so I complied them all into…
